How can you get involved in research?
Patients and healthy members of the public are our greatest strength – health research simply couldn’t happen without the volunteers who give their time and commitment.
The NIHR Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands helps health research to take place in the NHS in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
The mental health speciality is one of over 30 specialities which bring together communities of clinical practice to provide national networks of research expertise.
As the NIHR Clinical Research Network Wessex, we provide the infrastructure that allows high-quality clinical research to take place in the NHS in our area, so that patients can benefit from new and better treatments. We help to increase the opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research and ensure that studies are carried out efficiently. We are hosted by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
We are one of 15 Clinical Research Networks (CRNs) in England, delivering research to make patients, and the NHS, better.
