Patients and the public have a vital role in the research we support. Research relies on people volunteering their time to take part as research participants, and we recruit thousands of people to studies in South London every year.
There are also other ways that patients and the public can be involved in research; by sharing their experiences to help design and deliver research, or raise awareness of research happening at their local trust.
“I would recommend research to others as it gives you more information and puts your mind at ease.”
-- Rachel Gill patient and participant in the PHOENIX pregnancy study
